Privacy Policy
Tic Tactics · Effective October 17, 2026
PiJionGames operates Tic Tactics as a browser game and Discord Activity. This policy describes the current playtest. The app uses temporary server memory and browser storage; temporary information can still identify you. We do not currently use advertising trackers or third-party analytics, sell personal information, or share it for targeted advertising.
1. Information the game uses
- Browser play: the name you enter, a generated player identifier, session credentials, room membership, and your chosen avatar.
- Discord play: your Discord user ID, display name or username, profile-picture reference, and authentication information needed to verify your identity. The Activity uses an OAuth authorization code and access token. The server does not store that access token in its session record; it is passed to the Discord SDK for authentication. We do not ask for your Discord password or request access to your messages, contacts, microphone, or camera.
- Gameplay: team or free-for-all participation, readiness, host status, connection status, votes, card selections, game inputs, timings, scores, wins and losses, badges, reactions, and cursor positions during supported phases. These operate matches and spectator views.
- Technical data: the server processes connection addresses for rate limiting. Requests also reach our hosting provider, which may process IP addresses, browser/device details, request URLs, timestamps, and service logs under its own practices. Room codes in invitation URLs may appear in browser history and infrastructure records.
- Local preferences: browser storage keeps avatar selections and music/sound settings. A session cookie named
ttsupports identity and reconnection.
2. Why we use it
We use this information to authenticate players, join and reconnect rooms, run matches and votes, calculate results, show avatars and spectator perspectives, remember preferences, and protect service availability. Where a legal basis is required, processing needed to provide the game supports our agreement with you; service security supports our legitimate interests; legal obligations may also apply. Where applicable law requires consent for optional processing, we will obtain it before that processing.
3. Who can see information
Players and spectators in your room can see displayed names, avatars, presence, scores, results, reactions, and shared actions. Spectators can follow one player’s perspective, including gameplay and selections the app exposes. Team-only information is restricted during relevant phases, but do not treat a game room as a confidential space. Anyone who receives your room link or code may join. Other users can take screenshots or recordings outside our control.
We use Render to host the service and Discord for Activity authentication and profile images. They process information needed to provide their services and may retain their own records. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to address abuse or security incidents. We do not currently provide gameplay data to advertisers or data brokers.
4. Storage and retention
The game currently has no persistent player-account or match database. Session records expire after 24 hours and are removed by periodic cleanup. Rooms and their player records are removed after roughly two hours without recorded room activity. Server restarts and deployments erase the app’s in-memory sessions and rooms sooner. Lobby departures remove the player from the room after a brief connection-recovery window; an explicit host departure transfers hosting to the next connected player. During a match, disconnected players can retain their slot for up to one minute before removal; a later return is as a spectator. Existing results may still include earlier participation. Scores and badges are room/session features, not a promise of permanent account history.
Rate-limit entries are cleared after about a minute of inactivity. Browser preferences remain until you clear the site’s storage. Discord avatar responses may be privately cached for five minutes. Hosting and Discord records are separate from our in-memory game state; their retention depends on their policies and applicable service settings. Clearing our cache does not erase those providers’ independent records or copies other players made.
5. Your choices and requests
You can stop playing, leave rooms, use a non-identifying browser name, and clear this site’s cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Clearing browser data removes local preferences and your session cookie, but does not immediately remove information already present in an active room. Discord users can manage or revoke app authorization in Discord’s settings; this does not itself erase existing room records.
To request access, correction, deletion, or another privacy right available where you live, email PiJionGames at supportpigeongames@gmail.com. Identify Tic Tactics, the approximate play time, and your displayed name or Discord user ID so we can locate any information still held. Do not send passwords, OAuth tokens, or session keys. We may need to verify a request before acting. If records have already expired, we may no longer be able to retrieve them. We can remove information the app still holds; requests about Discord’s or Render’s independent records must also be directed to that provider. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing, receive a copy, withdraw consent where relied on, or complain to a data-protection authority.
6. Children
Tic Tactics is intended for players aged 13 or older, or any higher minimum age required locally. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us through the route above so we can investigate and remove information we still hold. Parental permission does not override the minimum age.
7. Security and international processing
We use HTTPS, session checks, and restrictions on gameplay actions to protect access. No system is completely secure. Data may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate; privacy protections may differ. We will apply safeguards required by applicable law.
8. Policy changes
We will update this page as the game or its data practices change and revise the effective date. We will provide additional notice or request consent when required. New purchases, persistent accounts, analytics, or other new data uses are not covered merely by describing them as future plans; the policy will be updated before they are introduced.
